Trichorhina tomentosa — Dwarf White Isopods

Small in size but big on cleanup power, Trichorhina tomentosa, commonly known as Dwarf White Isopods, are one of the most popular cleanup-crew species for bioactive terrariums and vivariums.

These tiny, soil-dwelling isopods spend much of their time beneath the surface, working through the substrate and feeding on decaying leaves, wood, leftover food, and other organic material. Their small size allows them to reach areas that larger isopods may miss, making them an excellent addition to a healthy bioactive ecosystem.

Dwarf Whites are hardy, easy to maintain, and reproduce quickly once established. Their preference for warm, moist environments makes them especially well suited for tropical and humid setups.
