Sphagnum Moss

Give your isopods the moisture they need with Sphagnum Moss, an essential addition to isopod habitats, terrariums, and bioactive enclosures. Sphagnum moss holds an impressive amount of water and helps create a consistently humid microclimate where isopods can hydrate, molt, and retreat when conditions become dry.

Use it to establish a moisture zone on one side of the enclosure while keeping the opposite side drier. This moisture gradient allows your isopods to regulate their hydration by moving between humid and dry areas as needed.

Sphagnum moss also provides excellent cover for adults and juveniles and can be mixed into substrate or placed beneath cork bark and other hides.
